What Will Texans Start Or Stop For 2025 New Years Resolutions?
2025 is right around the corner and peeps all over El Paso and Texas are starting to consider what they want to change in 2025. Here are 7 of the most common ideas.
Over the years, I have made a few New Years resolutions. Some I held to, some notsomuch ... until 2010. That's when I made one that I have stuck with to this day.
I resolved not to make any more freakin' New Years resolutions.
Seriously, every year, I have that moment when I look back at the past 365 ... same on my birthday every year ... and try and analyze what worked, what didn't, what turned out to be important and what turned out not to be, etc.
History is a great teacher and while I still try and switch things up a bit each year, this public proclamation of how I'm going to be the best of the best about something is something I can do without.
A ton of people still do it though so, here are what I consider the lucky 7 ... the "usual suspects", if you will, when it comes to the yearly purge(s).
That list is pretty generic. The one real resolution I'd truly like to see all El Paso adopt is this. This one, (big), little thing ...
In 2025, support local businesses and artists whenever possible.
So what if you pay a buck or two more for some of your Christmas gifts, a nice dinner out or some new music? You're helping your neighbor pay for his kids braces, not buying some uber rich guy his 10th Ferrari.
