Texas Dad Arrested After Riding Motorcycle With Toddler On It

A Texas father has been arrested after a photo of him riding a motorcycle with his toddler went viral on social media.

A Facebook post went viral after a father in Liberty County, Texas was leaving a gas station when he saw a man riding on a motorcycle with a toddler on it. The child was not strapped in and The father was so irate he snapped a photo and posted it on social media. The caption read:

“Any one of my friends know this (expletive) idiot?!?! The reason a say (expletive) idiot is one, he has a toddler smaller than my son on this bike with a back tire about (expletive) flat!”

Facebook Users helped identify the man, and he also commented on the photo. The man, identified as Anthony Welsh, turned himself in on Thursday and was charged with abandoning or endangering a child. He was arrested on Tuesday for outstanding warrants, but not on the endangerment charges.

Not only did police have the photographic evidence against Welsh, they also received written statements from eyewitnesses who saw Welsh on his motorcycle with his son on it. The statements said that Welsh was riding the motorcycle on the highway with the child not strapped in. The offense of endangering a child is a felony that is punishable by jail time.
