I've been following the story of Daniel Fleetwood, a fellow Texas who had a dying wish to see the much anticipated Star Wars: The Force Awakens. He was granted his wish after his story caught the attention of some of the most famous Star Wars stars like Mark Hamill. Director of The Force Awakens, J.J. Abraham, Disney and Lucasfilms brought a private screening to Daniel in Spring,TX, making his dream come true.

Unfortunately, Daniel past away last night. His wife Ashley Fleetwood shared the grim news on Facebook.

I truly love to see those in the Hollywood industry reaching out and actually interacting with fans. Stories like these are really bittersweet. Daniel knew he wasn't going to make it to the the release date of Dec. 18 after his doctor only gave him two months to live in July.

After still staying strong past those two months, Daniel and his wife took to social media to campaign for a special screening of Star Wars: The Force Awakens. It is such a heartwarming story to see how happy Daniel was in his final days. If you want to donate to Daniel's family for medical bills, you can here.
