state animals

Every state has a bunch of official state "things". Texas is one of the few that has an official state dog ... guess why!?

I'm not sure who is trying to outdo who on this one but, at the moment, Texas and New Mexico have the same number of official state animals.

Every state has a designated, animal representative. Holding to the old "everything is bigger in Texas" adage, we have way more than 1 state animal.
