Sweet Addiction Bakeshop in Central EP Closing, Final Day Aug. 27
After five years, Sweet Addiction, located at 2831 Mobile Ave. on the corner of Piedras, is saying goodbye.
On Saturday, August 27th, from 11 AM to 6 PM (or at least until they sell out) Sweet Addiction Bakeshop will be closing their doors forever.
Owner Paloma has been baking for El Paso for the past 10 years! Sweet Addiction started as a cupcake delivery service, then was the first dessert food truck in El Paso, and finally opened the bakeshop on Piedras 5 years ago- and you can get some of their delicious baked goods one last time.
Some of the final menu items include churro cupcakes,
Pumpkin snickerdoodle cookies
Chocolate cheesecake cupcakes
Red velvet cupcakes
Hummingbird cake slices
And lots of other goodies.
Walk ins will be welcome but they will not be taking any pre-orders for Saturday. All items will be available on a first come basis.
Sweet Addiction is best known for their unique takes on local favorites, like their iconic churro sugar skulls.
And their take on capirotada, which as much as I am not a fan of, actually looked really good!
Paloma adds that even though the shop is closing, doesn't mean this is the end of Sweet Addiction adding:
El Paso hasn't seen the last of me though! I will be doing pop-ups, classes, and holiday sales in the near future!
Which makes me happy because the one time I went to the shop, I went for the cinnamon rolls and they were amazing!
Here's hoping we can still get our sweet addiction when the shop closes down.
