Sun City Crit 2022 Festival Returns To Downtown El Paso In May
Cyclists from all over the U.S. and Mexico will again descend on downtown El Paso for the free Sun City Crit 2022 Festival.
Visit El Paso, and El Paso Live welcomes the return of Sun City Crit’s Cyclo de Mayo Festival in downtown El Paso on May 7, 2022.
For the third year, El Paso will host dozens of (men's and women's) D1 professional teams from all across the United States and Mexico, including national champions, Olympians, and international athletes.
The Sun City Crit is a free, family-friendly event like no other, as fast-paced bike racing takes over downtown for the day. The start and the finish line are located at Mesa and Main near San Jacinto Plaza as onlookers and the community line up to support.
El Pasoans can also participate in the fun with amateur category races for both men and women and a kid’s race for children (3 to 10 years of age), followed by the All-Star event.
Top finishers from the amateur races will compete in the amateur finals, while the professional races will begin at around 7:00 p.m.
While the races are all part of the fun, there will be plenty more to see and do. The day will feature:
- Family-friendly activities
- Live entertainment
- Vendors
- Beer Garden
- Lucha Libre Matches
- VIP Area and much more
