This Texas Bar Is So Small, You Just Might Miss It
Everything's bigger in Texas...but not in this case. While Texas loves to serve up BIG food and BIG drinks, the Lone Star state might just be the proud owner of the smallest bars in the United States & maybe even the world.
To find the smallest bar in Texas, you just need to travel to Houston
Right at the corner of Washington St & Thompson St (behind the Ninja Ramen restaurant), & you find what looks like the front of a yellow barn, well it's not a barn. It is indeed the entrance to a bar you can drink in Texas. This is the creation of Christopher Huang.
The Toy Gun Pew Pew Saloon has been open since August of 2024 & it has gained a reputation for being the "world's smallest shot bar". Considering the OFFICIAL smallest bar in the world is the Backdoor 43 in Milan, Italy can only hold about 4 people, this place might just be a contender for that title. However this place can also hold 4 people max, so maybe it can be one of the smallest in the entire country.
The bar gained extra publicity when it was featured on the local news from KHOU 11 in late August. After watching the video, you can definitely see just how much this place really is:
The place is still regularly active on 4219 Washington Ave, Houston, TX 77007 too, where they post special events through out the year. The Toy Gun Pew Pew Saloon is located at 4219 Washington Ave, Houston, TX 77007 & open from Thursday to Sunday.
