Seth MacFarlane To Make Hefty Donation To Reading Rainbow

I always liked Family Guy's Seth MacFarlane and now I like him even more.

MacFarlane has agreed to match all pledges over the next few days for the Reading Rainbow. LeVar Burton made the announcement in a post on the Kickstarter site.

"Yes, that Seth MacFarlane. That's right: for each dollar pledged over $4,000,000, Seth will match it, dollar for dollar, up to 1 million dollars!" ~Burton

The Kickstarter for the Reading Rainbow's original goal was $1 million dollars. (Which was met in a day!) Currently it has over $4 million dollars and now Burton is trying to reach $5 million. If it reaches $5 million plus the $1 million (MacFarlane's part) that would bring the program more than 12,500 classrooms!

The Kickstarter for the Reading Rainbow launched back in late May, it already has a successful tablet app and Burton wants to expand the Reading Rainbow into the classrooms for teachers. The Kickstarter's campaign will last until July 2nd.

The Reading Rainbow aired from 1983 thru 2006, I remember when I was in 2nd grade one of our daily activities, which I loved was to watch The Reading Rainbow!
