September Mourning is a Live Action Comic Book Coming to StreetFest 2018
Get ready for a unique concert experience at the El Paso Downtown Street Festival 2018. We know El Paso has a huge, dedicated horror, rock, and comic book community. It is pretty obvious every time there is a comic-con held here, a special horror movie party and we notice it at the KLAQ Halloween parade. It is time to get all these communities together to enjoy a performance from September Mourning.
We are happy to announce September Mourning will be joining the 2018 EP StreetFest lineup on October 6th, along with Shim, Dead Girls Academy, and Jonathan Davis headlining. What makes September Mounting so unique is the stage presence of the band resembling their comic book design. It is like the action from the comic book pages are jumping out and rocking on stage.
As you can tell from their music videos, September Mourning puts tons of thought into their lyrics and performances to really tell a story while putting on a show. We know you wouldn't expect anything less from a theatrical band with their own comic book. They released their comic book back in 2017, introducing the world to September Mourning and her story:
September Mourning has no past that she can remember, only a strange and shadowy present filled with the voices of the dead. Turned into a unique hybrid by the former Reaper of the lonely, injured, and abused, September Mourning is the only human/reaper to exist. Tasked with reaping the souls of the “worthless” by her mysterious tattoo, September hides and protects them until she can help them realize the last thing they had left undone in life. Whether it’s aiding souls to expose abusers, find lost loves, or settle old debts, in each case September is guided by voice of the Skullfly, which only she can hear.
On October 6th, you will get to experience this comic book character come to life in Downtown El Paso. If I were you, I would buy a comic and read up on their awesomeness; while blasting their music.
