Scheduled Road Construction And Closures For El Paso This Week

While the city is ecstatic the Border West Expressway is finally open, there is still quite a lot of construction happening on El Paso Roads. We've finally seen some of the major road projects coming to a close, and the improvements are making the commutes home better and better! Still, there are some projects that are just getting started or are getting the finishing touches. To make sure you're not stuck sitting in traffic due to construction on your commute, you've come to the right place. I-10 Connect Closures

Monday, Dec. 7, 2020, 9 pm - 5 am

The on-ramp which connects Gateway Boulevard North to eastbound I-10 near the El Paso Zoo will be closed to all traffic.

Tuesday, Dec. 8, 2020, 9 pm - 5 am

Westbound I-10 will be closed to all traffic between the Cotton Street exit and Brown Street.

Tuesday, Dec. 8, 2020, 9 pm - 5 am

Ramp N which connects eastbound Loop 375 to northbound US 54 will be closed to all traffic.

Wednesday, Dec. 9, 2020, 9 pm - 5 am

Eastbound I-10 will be reduced to a single lane at Cotton Street; lane closures will begin near Downtown.
Eastbound I-10 will be closed to all traffic at US 54.

Thursday, Dec. 10, 2020, & Friday, Dec. 11, 2020 9 am - 4 pm

The off-ramp from northbound US 54 to Trowbridge Drive will be closed to all traffic.

West Area Closures

Transmountain Project

UNTIL FURTHER NOTICE

Transmountain west and eastbound between US-54 and Tom Mays State Park reduced to one lane in both directions. Bike lane closed.

Mesa Rehabilitation Project

Sunday, Dec. 6, 2020, 9 pm - 6 am

Mesa southbound between Festival and Brentwood closed.

Mon, Dec. 7, 2020, - Wed, Dec. 9, 2020 9 pm - 6 am NIGHTLY

Mesa southbound between Castellano and Brentwood closed.
Crews will be working on milling operations.

Mesa northbound between Brentwood to Castellano reduced to one lane.
Mesa southbound between Castellano to Brentwood reduced to one lane.

US-54 and Dyer intersection alternate lane closures.

Bridge Maintenance Project

Sun, Dec. 6, 2020,- Thurs, Dec. 10, 2020 9 pm - 5 am NIGHTLY

I-10 westbound between Copia and Piedras complete closure.
Crews will be replacing joints.
West and eastbound turnarounds between Raynor and Piedras closed.
South and northbound between Raynor and Gateway West left turn lane closed.

US-54 Overlay Project

Mon, Dec. 7, 2020, - Sat, Dec. 12, 2020, 7 am - 5 pm

US-54 north and southbound between New Mexico State Line and McCombs alternate lane closures.

Pedestrian Hybrid Improvements Project

Mon, Dec. 7, 2020, - Fri, Dec. 11, 2020

Dyer northbound between Johnson and Pierce reduced to one lane.
Dyer southbound between Johnson and Pierce reduced to one lane.

I-10 eastbound between Executive and Schuster right lane closed with a complete off-ramp closure at Schuster.

Traveling public will be shifted to eastbound lanes of roadway
New section of Zaragoza will be open at Joe Battle Boulevard southbound to Montwood Drive to relieve traffic congestion
