Rolling Stones Perform In Small Los Angeles Venue [VIDEO]
As we have Tricky Falls, Los Angeles has Echoplex.
The super small venue (with the capacity of 700) Echoplex was sold out for the surprise gig The Rolling Stones had Saturday night. The concert was held early afternoon with tickets being sold at $20/each (for Rolling Stones tickets?!?! Sweet!).
The show came just five days before Mick Jagger, Keith Richards, Ron Wood and friends kick off their North American Tour at L.A.'s Staples Center.
As soon as they hit the stage, they tore it up heavy on old material but definitely debuted a couple of new songs. They opened with, "You Got Me Rocking", later doing "Live With Me" featuring Bobby Keys on saxophone. Jagger even strapped on a guitar and had a harmonica solo. From start to finish, the clock was set to 90 minutes.
The band included Chuck Leavell on keys, Darryll Jones on bass and Mick Taylor on guitar. Along with the sold out audience, a few famous faces were there like, Johnny Depp, Bruce Willis, Mary-Kate and Ashley Olsen, Skrillex, Brian Grazer, Steve Bing and Jim Gianopulos.
Here is a little taste from last night.
