One particular celebrity KLAQ had invited to party with us in El Paso, Texas was Vanilla Ice. I can't recall the exact year Vanilla Ice celebrated Mardi Gras in El Paso. But I want to guesstimate the year the American rapper and actor came to El Paso was in 2005.

It was an awesome experience especially to be able to say I partied with Vanilla Ice. Which by the way Vanilla Ice was like one of my main crushes when I was younger. Vanilla Ice was set to perform that night at the Convention Center.

That night I managed to work up the courage to ask for a picture with Vanilla Ice himself. Low and behold Vanilla Ice was more than happy to take pictures with his fans. He was totally down to earth and was thrilled to be taking pictures with fans left and right.

Above is the picture Vanilla Ice and I took together before his performance that night. His energy and music took us back to the good old days when we were young. That evening Vanilla Ice certainly got the crowd jumping and dancing that night. Place your vote if you remember Vanilla Ice partying in El Paso with KLAQ on Mardi Gras in the poll below.
