The Dallas Cowboys had a pretty good 2018 season. Despite a rocky first half of the season that saw them go 3 and 5, they rattled off 7 wins in 8 games to wrap up the season first in the NFC East. They beat the Seahawks in the Wild Card round of the playoffs 24 to 22, but came up short against the LA Rams in the Divisional Round 30 to 22.

Here are the moves the Cowboys have made this off season.

Notable draft picks: DT Trysten Hill, G Connor McGovern

Key acquisitions/re-signings: WR Randall Cobb, DT Christian Covington, DE Robert Quinn, S George Iloka, DE Kerry Hyder, TE Jason Witten, DE Demarcus Lawrence*, DE Randy Gregory*

Losses: WR Cole Beasley, TE Jeff Swaim, DT David Irving

With the first set of OTAs underway, it's time to "predict" the Cowboys 2019 record. I put "predict" in quotes because it's WAY too early to really know anything about this team, or any other team in the NFL quite yet.

  • Week 1 - vs NY Giants - WIN
  • Week 2 - at Redskins - WIN
  • Week 3 - vs Dolphins - WIN
  • Week 4 - at Saints - LOSS
  • Week 5 - vs Packers - LOSS
  • Week 6 - at Jets - WIN
  • Week 7 - vs Eagles - WIN
  • Week 8 - BYE
  • Week 9 - at NY Giants - LOSS
  • Week 10 - vs Vikings - WIN
  • Week 11 - at Lions - LOSS
  • Week 12 - at Patriots - LOSS
  • Week 13 - vs Bills - WIN
  • Week 14 - at Bears - LOSS
  • Week 15 - vs Rams - LOSS
  • Week 16 - at Eagles - WIN
  • Week 17 - vs Redskins - WIN

I have the Cowboys going just about the opposite as last year. Starting off strong, and finishing with a bit of a whimper. Ultimately finishing the season 9 and 7. That could be good enough for a playoff spot considering I have them going 5 and 1 in the division.

Of course, the team has just started their first set of OTAs, so I'll most likely to another prediction closer to the season. But this is where it stands as of now.
