An injury suffered by singer Zack de la Rocha has ... again ... canceled the Rage Against The Machine concerts for El Paso and Las Cruces .

Rage Against The Machine sent Borderland fans into a frenzy with the announcement that their reunion tour was coming to the area. We would get not one but two chances to see them as they scheduled concerts in both El Paso and Las Cruces.

Then, along came freakin' COVID - 19 and all events, concerts, etc were shut down. Rage Against The Machine didn't forget us though and, as soon as it was possible, they rescheduled the tour, planning to see us in February of next year.

It seemed the show ... to coin a phrase ... would go on after all, until singer Zack De La Rocha suffered a leg injury which caused the entire 2023 North American tour to be scrapped..

It happens in this NSFW video.

The bands website posted an announcement from Zack which explains the severity of the injury, saying that only 8% of his torn achilles tendon was left intact and even that part is not fully functioning. He added that he hates canceling shows and disappointing fans along with this message:

YOU HAVE ALL WAITED SO PATIENTLY TO SEE US AND THAT IS NEVER LOST ON ME. I NEVER TAKE THAT FOR GRANTED. FOR YOU I HAVE THE ULTIMATE GRATITUDE AND RESPECT.

It will surely be a long recovery and, once he's all healed up, who knows? Maybe we'll get to see them yet. For now, fingers crossed that he heals fully and that we, maybe, see our dates re - rescheduled for another day.
