While TxDOT has been working diligently to finish the Montana AVenue Widening Project, there have been some necessary headaches people in the area have had to go through. Brace yourself if you're in the area, there is another headache coming to the eastside this Sunday morning. On Sunday, March 31st from 6 a.m. to 11 a.m., there will be a COMPLETE CLOSURE on Montana Avenue from Lee Trevino to George Dieter. TxDOT crews will be allowing El Paso Electric crews to place new cables

As part of the TxDOT Montana Avenue Widening Project, El Paso Electric (EPE) will be running new fiber optic cables along Montana Avenue, requiring a complete closure between Lee Trevino and George Dieter this Sunday, March 31, from 6 a.m. to 11 a.m. Traffic in the area will be directed to Edgemere Boulevard. Residents living within the area will still be able to access their homes through neighborhood streets.
