A few weeks ago I wrote an article about how I believe the Montecillo neighborhood of El Paso is the future of cool places to hang on the west side, and now people have shared their thoughts.

I took the angle of a young single man (let's face it, super single) who would like to live near places I can either walk to or meet people at.

I mentioned the amenities that I found particularly attractive like the cool modern design, the ample mixed housing options, or the more personal wellness services like beauty salons and barbershops. The entertainment options are pretty nice too with a movie theater, the only top golf, and a skydiving simulation.

At the end of my article I put out a poll asking for everyone else to let me know what they thought about the Montecillo area, and boy did you not disappoint El Paso! I got several amazing responses.  Below are the best comments.

THE GOOD

"Montecillo is by far the most modern and forward-thinking neighborhood in El Paso. They just need more apartments to be built because it's hard to find an available unit in Montecillo it will be one of a kind neighborhood and the place to be on the west side as soon as the resort area is finished."

"You forgot to mention the resort which is under construction and soon to open. The resort is a water park with bars restaurants party rooms and cabanas for the residents of Montecillo to use. It will be like a mini country club without the golf and tennis."

"Montecillo is great. Best place for cool things to do and much better design than other places in El Paso."

THE BAD

"More restaurants."

THE UGLY

"The name is Montecillo."

"You spelled Monticello incorrectly in your entire article. With the sign clearly the first thing we see."

AS YOU CAN SEE IN THIS ARTICLE, I'VE DONE IT AGAIN!!!!!!

Actually, this happens because I dictate a lot of my writing. See, I'm a dictator... get it?... anyone?... anyone?... ok...
