Owner Desperate To Find Her Dog Lost After Car Crash In El Paso
A woman from Florida says she was traveling through El Paso when she was involved in a car crash and her dog ran away from the scene. A little more than a week ago, we saw El Paso and Southern New Mexicans rally together to help a local family find their dog lost while spending the day at White Sands. Researchers, park rangers, and military personnel worked together to scour the sand dunes for days looking for Canelo, who went missing in the park for six days. Now, another family is hoping animal-loving El Pasoans can come together again to help them find their lost pooch.
Facebook user Christy Castrejon posted in the Lost & Found Pets of El Paso Facebook group about her boxer named Luna who went missing last night. According to the woman's post, she was in a car accident last night around 5 p.m. on Sam Hawken Road near Horizon. When her vehicle flipped over, the frightened dog jumped out of the vehicle and ran away. The family is afraid she might be injured and are asking for people's help to find her and get her medical attention. Luna is primarily an indoor dog and the family is worried about her being by herself in the desert. On top of all of these worries, they were passing through El Paso on their way to the Pacific Northwest.
Luna is a four-year-old brown brindle Boxer with a white and black face. She is up-to-date on her vaccinations but unfortunately wasn't microchipped. If you have any information on Luna's whereabouts or have sene her, please contact Christ Castrejon on Facebook.
