Open Areas You Can Escape Quarantine to Get Out of the House
There have been a lot of places shutting their doors due to Covid-19 lately. Now I know there are people like me who aren't cool with the whole quarantine idea. Years ago after walking Mount Cristo Rey, and right after I began feeling sick. I went to the doctor and sure enough, I had caught what the news had been warning about. I ended up catching the swine flu which I had to be in quarantine for a week.
It was the last week of October which means I had to miss out on Halloween. Now I like to be out and about instead of being cooped up inside the house. Thankfully I didn't go insane being locked up inside with no contact from the outside world. But the way the Covid-19 pandemic has been spreading places are closing for the time being. But there are places you can visit that aren't in a tight-knit space with a crowd of people. Below is a list of places you can escape out of the house for a bit for some fresh air.

Veronica Gonzalez 1McKelligon Canyon
McKelligon Canyon is a nice place to escape for some fresh air and a nice view. Another plus is each little hut has a wide distance from the others. But before sitting be sure to spray down the benches just in case.

Veronica Gonzalez 2The Wall
f you're on the Westside of town then you should know about this place. This is where people go to offroad, ride their quads, and dirt bikes. Besides that, it is also a getaway from the city lights and sounds. Plus, it is also the place most offroaders enjoy having bonfires.

Veronica Gonzalez 3Red Sands
If you're on the Eastside of town then you're very familiar with this place. This area is bigger than the wall when it comes to offroading. It is a wide-open space and you can definitely see why it is called Red Sands. Clearly this area has enough space for families to go over a few hills without contacting Covid-19.

The Franklin Mountains is where people like to go for a hike or just roam the mountains. The Franklin Mountains isn't a crowded area. It has a few hikers that are generally distanced from each other. But it sure is a nice place to escape from home.
