This morning Brandon brought up a topic from Reddit: “What is the one movie you always recommend to others?” My first instinct is to always shout out a spoiler but I was told I could only do it if it was a “non-spoiler” spoiler. So, here are my non-spoiler spoilers for the movies Redditors say they always recommend.

Tremors (1990)

Non-Spoiler Spoiler: I am convinced that Reba McEntire and the dad from Family Ties are responsible for 80% of gun purchases in the past 30 years.

Galaxy Quest (1999)

I would never have believed that Alan Rickman would never get an Academy Award nomination…and that Crewman #6 would actually win one.

My Cousin Vinny (1992)

A fancy law degree and experience are no match for a New York attitude and a spitfire girlfriend that a ’64 Buick Skylark doesn’t have positraction.

The Matrix (1992)

Super-advanced computers take over the world but for some reason still use dial-up to get online.

Tombstone (1993)

There was no cure for consumption in the 1800s.

The Prestige (2006)

We would have teleportation devices today if it hadn’t been for Thomas Fucking Edison.

Children of Men (2006)

Be nicer to refugees because they’re more fertile.

Monty Python and the Holy Grail (1975)

The opening credits alone are funnier than 90% of all comedy movies. And it’s not even the best Python movie.

Tropic Thunder (2008)

People protested this movie when it came out and it WASN’T because Robert Downey Jr. did blackface. I guess that proves it: never go full r(dacted).
