The Purge series came out in 2013 & during it's 8 year run, 4 movies have spawned; The Purge (2013), The Purge: Anarchy (2014), The Purge: Election Year (2016), & The First Purge (2018). There's a 5th one coming out this summer & it's intended to be the final one in the series: The Forever Purge & this one hits a little closer to home, literally. Because the story takes place right here in the Lone Star state, Texas.

Directed by Everardo Gout, the movie stars Ana de la Reuguera (Cowboys & Aliens) as "Adela" & Tenoch Huerta (Days of Grace) as "Juan" portraying a married couple living in Texas, and Juan working for the wealthy Tucker family. On the morning after The Purge, a masked gang of killers attack the Tucker family, causing both families to flee the United States for Mexico.

Filming started back in 2019 & wrapped up in February 2020. The movie was set to released later on that year, but COVID pushed the release date back for 2021 & the first trailer just came out this afternoon.

After the trailer came out this afternoon, some people noticed that, even though the PLOT takes place in Texas, the locations IN the movie might actually be a lot closer than we think... & FitFam El Paso noticed that too & posted THIS on their Instagram page.

The Forever Purge hits theaters July 2, 2021 & with that little piece of knowledge, I'll have to watch it to see how much El Paso makes an appearance in the movie.
