We've told you before about the crazy cool art exhibit Meow Wolf in Santa Fe, and now it looks like the art collective is expanding!

Meow Wolf is a former bowling alley that was turned into a 20,000 square foot magical playland. Over 135 artists and builders worked together to create the space and even cooler is the landlord, George R. R. Martin, creator of our favorite Game of Thrones book series. The space has become a huge attraction and recently won the Thea Award for the Industry gold standard for Themed Entertainment!

Now, the art complex is expanding and recently purchased a closed engine assembly plant. Meow Wolf bought a former Caterpillar factory and will be using the site for design, welding, construction and more. The factory is 52,000 square feet and the group hope to use the site to grow the Meow Wolf art beyond New Mexico. The factory closed back in 2016 and Meow Wolf is looking to employ about 70 workers at the site. Meow Wolf is looking to create a mobile, traveling art project as well as another permanent one in Dallas or Austin. In the first year of Meow Wolf being open, they have made of profit of over $1 million.
