A New Mexico Sheriff and Albuquerque Mayoral candidate was making a political speech in Albuquerque when a flying sex toy interrupted his speech.

Bernalillo County Sheriff Manual Gonzalez is running for Albuquerque Mayor against incumbent Mayor Tim Keller and the political fight is getting nasty.

Sheriff Gonzalez was speaking at a campaign event at Revel Entertainment in Albuquerque when he was interrupted by a drone that had a dildo attached to it. In a video uploaded to Facebook by Andrellita Trujhero you hear a faint buzzing noise about 27 minutes into the video before you see an object flying in the air. In the video you hear a woman ask if that's "a dong on a drone."

The Sheriff sees off-camera the man that is operating the drone and mentions him to the crowd. The Sheriff was talking to a woman who was against his policies, which is why he tells her "I guess that's one of your friends." The woman responds saying she doesn't know who the man is before continuing to speak with the Sheriff.

Finally, someone in the audience stands up and yanks the sex toy out of the air and the drone operator runs up to stop him. A scuffle ensues and the man is subdued by security at the event. The man, 20-year-old Kaelan Ashby Dreyer, then proceeded to charge towards Sheriff Gonzalez and swung his fist at him and called him a "tyrant," per the Albuquerque Journal.

As Dreyer was escorted out of the event, he screams that the Sheriff is a pedophile. Dreyer was arrested and charged with petty misdemeanor battery and misdemeanor resisting, evading, or obstructing an officer.

While many thought this was the end of the story, the plot thickens after Sheriff Gonzalez held a press conference last week to say he believes the current Mayor Tim Keller's supporters and possibly the mayor himself were behind the attack. According to the Albuquerque Journal, Gonzalez accused the protestors of being "political operatives" there:

“Those people were planted there. They went there. They didn't go over there to have a civil discourse, they were there to disrupt. And they did act out that violence. So to me, it's very intentional.”

Dreyer denied being involved with Tim Keller's campaign and the Mayor's campaign also denied any involvement calling the suggestion "pathetic."

You can see the video of the incident below. The drone moment starts at the 27-minute mark.
