A city in northern New Mexico was listed as a top Spring destination. Why not make it a Spring "Break" destination?

Nope, it's not Albuquerque. Although it is pretty close to Albuquerque, about an hour away from the Duke City. Spring breakers are starting to plan their big week and this place would be a great escape idea. (Easy drive from EP too, about 5 hours .)

It's a small town, loaded with cool stuff and is very different than the usual, party driven, "over the top crazy" hotspots like Daytona, South Padre, etc.

Narcity.com recently listed the city of Santa Fe, New Mexico, as a perfect place for a quick getaway. Narcity also pointed out that Condé Nast Traveller also listed Santa Fe as a "top 10" Spring destination..

If food is your thing, you will find just about every cuisine you can think of from all over the world. For teh beer drinkers, Santa Fe is home to the Santa Fe Brewing Co. as well as Hidden Mountain Brewing among others.

Outdoorsy types will find a lot to do, including hiking, fishing, golfing, biking and more while the partiers will find plenty of nightlife and gamblers have several casinos to choose from.

The guy in the picture above is Zozobra by the way, he gets 'lit" in Santa Fe every year on the Friday before Labor Day. Whole different story there ...

I like beaches, bikinis and copious amounts of alcohol as much as the next guy but if you want to party without overdoing it and enjoy some other activities as well, Santa Fe is a perfect place for all of the above.

Santa Fe is also crawling with artists of all types and there's a ton of art available to both admire, listen to and/or purchase.

If you are into history, Santa Fe is loaded with that too. In fact, it's the oldest capitol city in the United States of America.
