Some people can remember the very first concert they attended and some can't. Some people probably can't remember their first concert because they were really young. I somewhat fall into that category simply because I was really young for my first concert. I was about 5 years old when my family and I attended New Kids On The Block. Then I was really stoked to see the dudes that had me crushing at a young age. I look back now and think about how my parents handled listening to music they weren't into. I remember being excited and singing along to some of the songs I knew the lyrics to. But when New Kids On The Block came back to El Paso I wasn't planning on attending this time around.

I don't remember attending any other concerts after that simply because it wasn't my type of music. Now I definitely remember another concert I like to consider the first concert I attended without parentals. I was in 7th grade and went to see Sugar Ray with some of my girlfriends. The Sugar Ray concert was held at the Pan Am Center in Las Cruces, New Mexico. Our seats were dead center in front of the stage and experienced the best feeling ever. When Sugar Ray was performing Mark McGrath hopped off the stage and came towards the crowd. My friends and I were able to grab a hold of Mark McGrath for a few seconds before he left back to the stage. New Kids On The Block took my concert virginity and I wouldn't have it any other way.
