New IRS Site Lets You Check The Status Of Your Stimulus Payment

A new IRS website launched today that will help Americans track their stimulus checks easily. Most Americans have been anxiously checking their bank accounts to see if their $1,200 dollar stimulus checks have arrived from the government. If you filed your 2018 and 2019 tax returns and have your direct deposit account linked, you may be one of the 80 million Americans who have funds in your account now. For others, they could still be left waiting for that money to arrive. The IRS has now launched a new website to help those who haven't provided their banking information to the government already. The new "Get My Payment" website allows people to enter their banking information and track their stimulus check.

The new website will allow users who filed taxes in 2018 and/or 2019 to submit their direct deposit information to the IRS to receive your check by direct deposit instead of by-mail. If you want to submit your direct deposit information, you simply need your Adjusted Gross Income from your 2018 or 2019 taxes, amount received or owed on your taxes and your bank account information (account and routing number.
