New Farmers Market Happening at Ascarate Park on Saturdays
El PaSol Farmers Market is making its El Paso debut at Ascarate Park on Saturdays.
Fill your tote bags with local goodies and spend a late afternoon of small-business market shopping from area vendors at the centrally located county park.
El Pasoans who prefer to get their fruits, veggies, and honey from area farmers and artisans can do so at the new farmers market setting up at Ascarate Park Saturdays starting at 3 p.m.
The later-in-the-day start means if you have to work, have chores to do, or errands to run on a Saturday morning you don’t have to miss out on local produce, plants, honey, and food trucks.
And, bonus, the $2 park entrance fee on weekends has been eliminated.
Ascarate Park, located at 6900 Delta, is the largest public-use recreational park in the county.
Amenities at the 408-acre park include a Community Fishing Lake stocked with catfish, sun perch, and carp, picnic facilities, and playgrounds, as well as pedal boat, kayak, canoe, and paddle board rentals available at the Blue Gill Bar and Grill.
