On April 9th, 2020 The City of El Paso has updated the city on COVID-19 cases, the number of cases by zip code and tests taken in El Paso, Texas through a press release.

As of April 9th, The City of El Paso has confirmed 225 positive cases of COVID-19.

El Pasoans are still under the 'Stay Home, Work Safe' order which has been amended to keep more people at home. Many parks and public areas have been closed in an attempt to keep people from possibly spreading COVID-19.

It is scary how fast the virus can be spread, especially when people are not practicing social distancing. Please take the proper precautions to keep you, your family, friends, and coworkers safe. Ultimately, keep your fellow El Pasoan healthy. Stay strong, stay healthy.

The CDC now advises anyone who is going out to work or to purchase essentials, please wear a cloth face covering while practicing social distancing.
