El Paso has the best Mexican food in the country.  Period.  I would like to share with you some of my favorite tacos and where to enjoy them.  Besides my mom's house...

We have got a wide variety of tacos to choose from, and it seems people are always coming up with new stuff to put in a crispy tortilla shell.  I happen to be pretty much a purist when it comes to my tacos, but a couple of my favorites aren't so pure.

Lets start with the most delicious rolled tacos.  The Soupy Tacos from Mama's Tamales are my favorite taco, period.  They come in either chicken or beef, and swim in the most delicious sauces, red, brothy green chile, and creamy.  My mouth waters just thinking  about them.  The mama's  make their own tostadas as well.   They are crispy,  and the perfect size for dipping into their tasty salsas.  Careful not to fill up on those before your meal!

Kiki's has my favorite seafood tacos, both the crab (with a K) and the fish taco's are plenty tasty.  If you are a fan of fish tacos, you will enjoy those at Kiki's.  While you are there, try some of their chile con queso.  It's like no other I have ever have, creamy and dreamy!

If you are a fan of chicken tacos, may I suggest those at the L&J Cafe.  These tacos are overstuffed with delectable chicken.  The restaurant also has your choice of red or green salsa, and I still can't decide which is my favorite.  Keep L&J in mind for breakfast on the weekend.  After having one of their huge breakfast plates, you may not eat for the rest of the day!

When it comes to ground beef tacos, the best are from the Little Diner.  The beef is tasty and the shells are thin and crispy.  The salsa is amazing.  You really can't go wrong with anything you order at the Little Diner, especially if you love gorditas.  They make the best!

I really don't think I have ever had a really bad taco in El Paso, but I do know where to find my favorites.  I have favorites all over town, find the one near you and check it out.  You won't be sorry!
