A list by standardnews.com ranked the most overrated tourists attractions in each state and you won't believe which one they dissed in Texas.

These so called "experts" may be right about some of their picks but, as far as Texas goes, they totally blew it.

I'll give you a hint ... it's not only a big deal in Texas but all over the United States of America. In fact, peeps actually come from all over the world to visit it.

It's the most visited site in the lone star state and so well known that its name instantly conjure up images of it, and tales about it, for just about everyone - Texan or not.

If you haven't figured it out yet, we're talking about The Alamo.

I can see why they gave that (dis)honor to places like Mall Of America, which is just a big ass shopping mall. Granted, it's got a theme park and an aquarium in it but those, like shopping malls, can be found anywhere. Nothing special at all unless you need more Old Navy in your life.

The Alamo is living history and the heart of the Texas Revolution. The battle of the Alamo may have been horrifically lost but it rallied the rest of the state and became a turning point in Texas' quest for independence from Mexico.

You can enter the mission, roam the grounds, get hands on with history and learn about Texas, the revolution and lots more. You can even do some ghost hunting since the Alamo is haunted AF.

Hardly an overrated "tourist trap" ... sorry but Standard News can kiss my Tex-Ass.
