Call it a coincidence?

Embattled, and as of December 14th, 2022 - former - El Paso District Attorney Yvonne Rosales entered the courtroom in person for the first time since July.

There were many shocking events that transpired. Rosales chose to assert her fifth amendment rights, among other things. She also seemed to be wearing the exact same blazer she wore in court on July 1, 2022.

It's been a bumpy ride for the El Paso District Attorney since she began serving in January of 2021. Between Covid-19 (which put a pause on jury trials), hundreds of cases being dismissed due to inaction by the D.A. ...add on an August 3rd victim's family who accused Rosales and her team of impersonating them. And that's barely scratching the surface.

According to a court filing by defense lawyers, Rosales and her team had also been evading subpoenas. At least 15 times. Judge Sam Medrano had to call a show cause hearing because Rosales did not show up to multiple hearings regarding a gag order violation. Once she showed up, she pleaded the fifth.
