A Mormon church in Sandy, Utah is making headlines for imposing costume restrictions during a weekend Halloween celebration. The church angered some local residents when they sent out a flier banning masks and cross-gender costumes at the Saturday event. LDS Bishop Dennis Toone says a young women's group created the flier, adding that anyone who didn't agree with their dress code didn't have to come to their Halloween celebration. One Sandy woman said the church's flier sends the wrong message to children, while another local resident said "to exclude somebody is not fair."
