The Tactical Air Control Party, (TACP), will hold their 2019 "24 hour challenge" March 28th and 29th.

Money raised by the challenge is used in a variety of ways to help the families of fallen TACP personnel. The association once bought a car for the child of an airman who was killed and plans to buy others as well as fund scholarships and help the families of fallen airmen with whatever they may require in their time of need.  Retired Master Sgt. Charlie Keebaugh explained:

"We've done everything from sending a handyman to somebody's house to fix a leaky sink, to paying for a hotel while a guy is in for whatever kind of treatment you could imagine would be the result of 14 years of war" - Air Force Times

Teams are put together all over the world to run as much as they can over a 24 hour period, generating cash donations for each mile. One recent challenge saw all the teams combine to run over 37,000 miles, bringing in $131, 390 dollars. To learn more about the organization, click here.
