This Texas City is One of the Coziest Warm Spots in America
We know living in Texas it can get very hot; we easily see temperatures reach over 100 degrees state wide (regardless of what season it is). So it's no surprise that at least one Texas city has regarded one of the warmest cities all year round in the entire United States. If you've been to McAllen Texas, you'll be surprised to know that it's considered one of the warmest U.S. cities; hotter than some cities in other desert states like Nevada & Arizona.
How warm does it get in McAllen Texas?
While areas like Death Valley & cities like Lake Havasu City, Arizona rank has some of the hottest cities; McAllen, Texas ranks in the top 20 of the warmest U.S. cities.
Most of the cities are located in states around Hawaii & Florida; McAllen has been reported to have an average temperature of 77.4 Fahrenheit (or 25.2 Celsius), which ranks at #17. Even areas like Yuma, Phoenix & New Orleans have temperatures between 71-76 degrees Fahrenheit (22.2 - 24.4 degrees Celsius).

When winter comes around, quite a few Texas cities rank high with having the hottest & warmest temperatures in the U.S.
- Houston has one of the warmest overall temperatures like a high of 57 degrees Fahrenheit (14 degrees Celsius).
Among the state, 4 cities have the most days of winter where temperatures reach between 70 - 80 degrees Fahrenheit:
- Houston & San Antonio tied with having 37 days; Houston has the warmest winter NIGHTS
- Austin has 32
- and Dallas has 19.
- Not even El Paso ranks that high; our winter temperatures are usually as high as 67 and as low as 57.
So make sure you dress accordingly; don't be caught off guard when it gets really warm or really cold. This IS Texas after all..
