We've made it! The holidays are upon us; the Christmas season is here to ask Santa what we all want this year. But we know, there's so many people in El Paso with little to nothing at all. It's the perfect time to truly help a fellow El Pasoan in need & the music scene knows this too.

To try & bring a little Christmas cheer to the Borderland, on December 10th, there's a special event happening at The Rockhouse, 9828 Montana, called the Operation Santa Claus toy drive.

The local lineup for the show includes:

  • Snatch
  • Barbarian
  • Extremity
  • Death Gravity
  • Still I Stand
  • & Epitaph Romance

The one putting together the show is Christopher Headley, lead singer of both Epitaph Romance & Still I Stand. When asked about putting the show together, Chris had this to say:

"Both bands have been a fixture in our music scene for 10+ years spanning 2 decades.. so we feel that it is important to give back to our community that has given us a home to play our music. It's the holidays and knowing that there are kids that may not wake up to a toy on Christmas doesn't sit right with us. So we want to try our best to make sure as many children as possible wake up to a toy on Christmas and along with that a person who may not be able to afford heat or 4 walls gets a jacket or blanket to at least keep them somewhat warm this holiday season"

It's a 21 & over ages show but there's no ticket price. The entry is granted by donating either

  • a new, unwrapped toy
  • or by bringing an article of gently used/new piece clothing or blanket.

All toys donated at the event will go to Operation Santa Claus; blankets & clothing to go to the Homeless Coalition of El Paso.
