They've been rocking the Borderland for 12 years but, it's time to lay down their axes.

Brown Betty are retiring.  Here are the key points from the announcement posted on their Facebook page:

In the summer of 2005, maybe 10-20 people came out to the first few Brown Betty gigs... It was a struggle, to say the least!  Our philosophy was simple: A good time! Fun Rock N' Roll covers! We're each around 50 years of age, now, so we picked songs we really liked as kids from the 1970's and 1980's AM/FM radio.

Simple as that.

Since then, our perseverance and relentless performing schedule have brought us to this point today. The sheer joy of performing and rocking out for people has always been what it's all about for us.  This Thursday night at McKelligan Canyon it will all come to a halt.  Yes, that's it, dear people!  The Swan Song of Brown Betty.

Read the complete announcement here and catch the FINAL Brown Betty performance Thursday night as the 2017 Cool Canyon Nights concert series also comes to an end.

It's going to be a helluva party.
