Las Cruces Mayor Says Stay Away From Parks Easter Sunday
The Mayor of Las Cruces doesn't want anyone celebrating Easter in the city's parks.
As the COVID 19 pandemic carries on, more and more restrictions have been put into place regarding where we can and can't go and what we can and can't do. Las Cruces Mayor Ken Miyagishima is about to ask for another during today's Las Cruces City Council meeting. He is going to ask that no one celebrate Easter in any of Las Cruces' many parks.
According to our news partner, KVIA channel 7, he already released a statement to that effect, even though the city council meeting isn't until this afternoon.
"The City understands the difficulties and inconvenience this may cause. We are thankful for your support and hopeful that through this community’s efforts, we can help reduce the spread and impact of this virus, - KVIA
