Kona Grill – The New Grill In Town [FOOD REVIEW]
I'm always looking for something new to try. Today it was Kona Grill at the Fountains at Farah.
We arrived just in time for Happy Hour (3pm to 7pm ). 1/2 price on selected sushi rolls, beer and wine. As soon as we opened the door, we were greeted with a smile and seated promptly. Starting with the huge fish tank that greets you as you walk in, the decor is inviting and modern. The atmosphere is laid back with a touch of elegance. The outside patio is an array of sofas and dinning tables ,just perfect after a long day. Something that El Paso has been waiting for.
We started with the Kona Calamari served with a spicy aioli. Some of best calamari I have ever had.
Then we moved on to the traditional sushi rolls. I'll get more adventurous on my next visit.
- Crab Special Roll - crab mix ,motoyaki sauce and cucumber
- Fiery Shrimp Roll - a lightly seasoned shrimp, spicy eel sauce and cucumber
- Crab Crunch Roll - crab mix , tempura flakes and a spicy eel sauce
All three were full of flavor and well made.
And to top off the night, an amazing Passion Fruit Creme Brulee - Passion Fruit Infused Custard. Simple and mouth watering.
