KLAQ Rocks the Park This Fall With Scott Stapp and Poppy
Rock returns to downtown El Paso this October 4 when KLAQ Rocks The Park! Southwest University Park, home of the El Paso Chihuahuas and El Paso Locomotive, will host the concert event of the fall.
Scott Stapp Will Rock the Park in El Paso This Fall
Headlining will be Scott Stapp of Creed. On the 2024 "Higher Power" Tour, Scott played both songs from his 4 solo albums highlighting his latest "Higher Power," and Creed classics including "With Arms Wide Open," "Higher," "One Last Breath," and "My Sacrifice." Though the setlist has yet to be determined for when he resumes the solo tour, concert goers can be assured each selection will feature one work of the most soaring, passionate vocalists in rock history.
Poppy Brings Her Unique Charm to the Mix
Also performing is one of the most fascinating artists to break-out of 2024, 2 time Grammy nominated Poppy! On her selling out everywhere "They're All Around Us" Tour, Poppy's blend of Metal, Industrial, Experimental, and Pop has been receiving strong reviews. With her 6 albums, Poppy has become one of rock's more intriguing artists, and her satirical and surreal "Improbably Poppy" variety show only added more fascination. The songs "V.A.N.," "New Way Out," and "The Cost of Giving Up," are all currently receiving airplay on The Q.
Dead Poet Society Rounds Out A Fantastic Lineup
Dead Poet Society, from Boston, Massachusetts will Rock The Park. They have called their sound "heavy indie rock," and have been relentlessly touring since their 2021 debut album "-!-". With the 2024 release "Fission," DPS became a much sought after addition to Rock Festivals last and this year.
One Hel(en) Of An Opener
Opening the show will be Hooked Like Helen, a band The Q has featured often on the weekly new music discover show Q-Connected (Sundays 5p-7p). The husband and wife duo Nikki and Jon Stipp are the driving force behind HLH, and are thrilled to be making their El Paso debut this fall and promise to deliver a set of high-energy, emotionally charged songs.
