I visited the Canutillo vineyard, Zin Valle Winery, just to eat celebrity El Paso lawyer, and now BBQ pitmaster/ chef, Justin Underwood's meat.

If you're a regular listener of the Buzz Adams Morning Show you've definitely heard Justin's voice before.

Not only is he a successful lawyer and partner in the law firm Wyatt and Underwood, but he is also the official Buzz Adams Morning Show chief legal affairs correspondent.

Also, he regularly hosts an on-air segment called "ask a lawyer with Justin Underwood."

While Justin "Esquire,", is a full-time lawyer, by day, the COVID-19 pandemic allowed him ample time to pursue other interests, like his meat-based passion for BBQ... at night.

A quote from his amazing wife Brooke,

I had to eat a lot of s***** barbecues before it got good.

A text version of this, where the word barbecue is replaced by the word comedy, is my screensaver.

NOW Justin's meat has gotten so tasty he's branched out and started his own barbeque food truck/catering business, in partnership with Coronado Prime Meats.

For months I have heard many tales and whispers about Justin's legendary meat.

Justin REGULARLY posts pictures of his juicy succulence all over social media!

So, I'm not going to lie, for a while now I've been thirsty for some @JBUBBQ.

Well, I FINALLY got the chance to enjoy Justin's food on a weekend when I cruised out to the beautiful and elegant Zin Valle Winery.

Located in the farming area between Canutillo New Mexico and Canutillo Texas Zin Valle winery is a picturesque venue to enjoy delicious wine and a relaxing atmosphere of grapevines all around you.

When I rolled up, Justin was parked with a big-ass professional smoker and an entire assembly line of food trucks.

DUSTY LOW

Folk band Dusty Low set up in the shade of the wineries awning.

And, I even took my puppy Jack to get some sun and be a little more socialized.

BARBEQUE

And when the food was ready, that's when the party REALLY started.

In a word: "delicious." In four, "transcendently delicious, I guess."

Was it tender? Was it juicy? Was it flavorful? Yes. Yes. And yes.

My brisket melted like butter. The pork ribs could be cut with a dull stick... Which are most sticks.

Everything fell apart the second you touched it. And nothing was dry. It was chock full of delicious marbling.

Don't get me started on the sides:

Well, OK.

ELOTE EV VASO

There was a take on corn in a cup, or elote en vaso, which was roasted golden-variety corn topped with cilantro, queso cotija, pickled red onions, some signature brisket, and a lime wedge. Mmmmm.

And, then there were the classic frijoles WITH Justin's meat thrown in the mix, just to kick it up a notch.

I could seriously go on and on about how great Justin's meat is, but I'm not going to because I hope everyone reading this gets to experience its fantastic flavor for themselves.

It's some of the best meat I've ever tasted and could easily rival any of the big brick-and-mortar barbecue restaurants around.

Instead, I want to highlight how much support Justin had from his family.

FAMILY

That made the event so much more fun, seeing Justin's wife, son, and daughter all helping out and enjoying the day. Even Justin's dad was there! BTW he is not disappointed in his son, I asked.

GOOD TIMES

Everyone and I mean everyone at this event from the band Dusty Low, to Zin Valle and its operators, to Justin's partner Coronado Prime Meats, to all the guys helping Justin in the back, everything was A+ and made for one of the BEST events I've been to all summer long.

Jack agrees.
