Juarez Mayor Enrique Serrano announced the city will attempt to break the world record for biggest burrito and margarita, this weekend at Expo Gastronómca 2015, or Food Expo 2015.

Many people believe that Juarez is the birthplace of both the margarita and burrito, so it's only right for this city to hold the record for these delicious delicacies. As of now, the record set in 2010 is 2.4-kilometers, or 1.5 miles long and weighed in at 12,785 pounds, according to the world record. The record belongs to the city of La Paz in the Mexican State of Baja California.

As for the margarita record, it was set in 2012 by residents in Sacramento, California at 39,747 liters, according to Guinness Official Website. Organizers are hoping to beat the record on Saturday, by creating a 300-liter margarita!

According to event organizer José Luis Fabián, attendees can taste both the burrito and margarita with their paid ticket. I really hope they get to bring the record back home to where it belongs!
