Texas Parents Are Dropping Nearly $1K for School Supplies!

As the back-to-school season kicks off in Texas, parents are reaching deep into their wallets to get their student’s all the school supplies they’ll need for the new school year.

As a parent myself, I dreaded the long list of school supplies that I knew my son was going to need. Shoot, sometimes I even found myself wondering “WHAT THE HECK DOES HE NEED THIS FOR” when I came across an item I know I never needed back when I was in school.

Teacher’s are also having to dig deep in their wallets to make sure they make up for the supplies that some students aren’t able to get.

How Much Are Parents Spending On School Supplies:

According to couponbirds.com Parents in the Lone Star State are spending an average of $983 per child, ranking 8th highest in the nation.  *Gasps in Spanish*

And that’s PER child. And that may not even include items needed if you’re child joins a sport!

For parents, it covers the essentials: backpacks, pencils, notebooks, and clothing.
