There’s a new children’s Museum in the heart of El Paso, Texas that will soon become a tourist attraction for people of all ages!
La Nube is set to open its doors on Saturday August 10th with a ribbon-cutting ceremony on Main Street in front of La Nube beginning at 10 a.m.
Guests are invited to the celebration which will feature a day filled with food trucks, live youth performances, exciting science demonstrations, and special guests.
I decided to take my teenage son to check out the children’s museum and we both turned into young kids as we experienced the new museum.
A Dream in the Making
The museum has been in the works since 2012 when the City of El Paso’s quality of life bond passed and paved the way for the creation of the children’s museum.
The four-story children’s museum is a trailblazing institution that merges the thrill of a science center with the playful allure of a children’s museum.
La Nube is redefining how children and adults engage with the world of science, technology, engineering, arts, and mathematics (STEAM).
The museum's very name, La Nube, translates to "the cloud" in Spanish—a metaphor for limitless potential and infinite possibilities. This imagery guided the international architecture firm Snøhetta in designing a stunning four-story building with a cloud-like appearance that commands attention on the El Paso skyline.
Transformative Experiences
La Nube has so much for people of all ages including interactive and bilingual displays, visitors of all ages are encouraged to explore, create, and innovate.
The exhibit design firm Gyroscope worked closely with educators, therapists, and community members to create zones that cater to diverse learning styles and abilities.
The second you walk into the museum your eyes will wonder as you look at the amazing murals, art work, shapes, lights and more!
Located right in the heart of Downtown El Paso:
La Nube is located at 201 W. Main Drive and ticket prices range from $14 - $16. You can find more details on tickets prices and hours by clicking here.
