In my opinion, decorating your house and yard during Christmas is probably the best part of celebrating the holiday besides celebrating the birth of Jesus. Putting up decorations with your family allows you to spend time with one another and truly see the smiles on your children’s faces. Irish Star says certain decorations, like Christmas plants, can be dangerous when decorating. All over the great state of Texas, we see beautiful decorations with holiday plants such as Holly,  Yew, and even wild cherries.

WHAT IS THE MOST DANGEROUS CHRISTMAS FLOWER?

The most famous Christmas flower is the most dangerous decoration to have. The poinsettia is known to be poisonous not only to pets, but also to humans, and if you happen to ingest the leaves, it can cause pets to be nauseous and even vomit. Even the touch of the sap from the plant itself can leave individuals with skin irritation.   Experts do say that it’s okay to plant the actual flower, but keeping it out of reach from children and animals is very important. If your child or your animal happens to digest the poinsettia leaves immediately take your animal to the closest vet and your child to the hospital. As long as you follow those simple directions to Texas everyone should be able to enjoy their holidays. Merry Christmas Texas.
