Ever since 1878, Gruene Hall in New Braunfels, Texas has been a hub for music, dancing, and having a grand ol’ time.

It is Texas’ oldest continually operating dance hall and hasn’t changed much through the years. The venue still has its classic charm with a small lighted stage, bar, tin roof, outdoor garden, and more.

When you visit the Gruene Hall, they say:

“A person watching a show never knows if the artist they see at the Hall today will be a star tomorrow, but they can know that the music they hear will always be top notch.”

Along with being a music staple, it has also been featured in movies like ‘Michael’ starring John Travolta, ‘Coyote Funeral’, as well as being on the CD cover of George Strait’s album Twang.

They also host other special events other than concerts, like their ‘Friday Afternoon Club’ that celebrates the warmer weather with drink specials, giveaways, and more.

Some of the musicians playing there soon include Slade Coulter, The Georges, Jon Wolfe, Bill Hearne Trio, The Band of Heathens, Soul Sessions, Morgan Wade, Pony Bradshaw, and many more.

If you are even in the New Braunfels area, I think this is a great spot to check out due to its historic prowess. There are also plenty of other fun things to do in that area including floating on the Guadalupe River, exploring local museums, checking out the caverns, visiting breweries or wineries, spending a day at Schlitterbahn Waterpark, and more.
