I wrote that this was coming yesterday, now the official word is in.

4 states across the country have already limited hours and services or completely closed bars and restaurants. El Paso decided today that we will kind of follow suit.

From the El Paso Herald Post...

  • Tuesday, El Paso City Council passed an emergency ordinance calling for the closure of bars, private clubs, arcades, and taverns effective today.  The order also applies to arcades.
  • Council also added a fine and charge, as violators face a misdemeanor and a $500 fine.
  • The new restrictions for restaurants follow social distancing rules, as they will be allowed to open at half the facility’s capacity, with a minimum of six feet between tables.
  • Council passed the ordinance unanimously, and it will be effect for 30 days.

It's a very strange time and I'm sure there will be more cancellations, postponements,  law changes, etc. For now, take all reasonable precautions to protect your self and others. For more news, keep checking in here at KLAQ.com.
