Toyota has announced another huge recall.

The Toyota Motor Corporation is recalling over 6 million vehicles due to a defective power window switch. The defect is due to grease being sprayed on the switches improperly, potentially causing short circuits and fires. Overheating and melting are also possible and at least one hand burn has been reported here in the U. S. According to AOL.com:

Toyota has also received 11 reports of cases in which the switch or part of the car door burned -- seven in North America, two in Japan and two in other areas.

The recall involves 2.7 million vehicles in North America, 1.2 million in Europe and 600,000 in Japan. Models include the Yaris, Corolla, Matrix, Camry, RAV4, Highlander, Tundra and others. Toyota has promised to handle this recall quicker than they did during the 2009 scandal over faulty floor mats, defective brakes and sticky gas pedals.
