If You Thought El Paso Was Pretty, It’s Even Better From The Air
El Paso really has a sense of beauty to it, from the ground & air. We've seen some truly amazing photos of the El Paso sky. But not many show El Paso... FROM the sky. But one guy has posted some truly amazing photos of El Paso from a view we normally don't get to see.
See for yourself...
And after a rainstorm, with the clouds rolling down the mountains.. the view can look haunting... but from the air? Talk about breathtaking'
All of these photos were taken by fellow El Pasoan, Clint Chamales.
Clint started skydiving when he was 15 back in 1999. He moved to Powered Paragliding, aka Paramotoring in 2018 & started paragliding without the motor in 2020.
When I asked him if he ever felt nervous being up in the air like that. This was his response:
"After skydiving nearly 1,400 times, I’m very comfortable in the air. I used to skydive a lot more and would often find myself opening my parachute (wing) as high as I could, sometimes right after exiting the plane. I did this because I really enjoyed flying my parachute and it would make the overall skydive last longer. In 2018 I started Paramotoring because it allowed me to fly my paraglider similarly to my parachute. But, I could fly it more often and whenever I want, weather permitting."
"Paramotoring is the simplest and least expensive form of powered aviation. And, it’s probably one of the most fun. I can fly my paraglider in places no other aircraft can go. And, I do this without legally needing a rating, license or even formal training. Although, training is definitely recommended."
His social media pages are FILLED with amazing photos like the ones you've seen above & some truly breathing videos too on his Instagram page:
You can also find even more videos on his YouTube channel.
I know Clint has no signs of stopping so expect to see more views of El Paso in the near future.
