Hulk Hogan says he wants back into the ring: the political ring that is, and would love to be Donald Trump's running mate in the presidential race.

Hogan, who was recently dropped by the WWE over racial comments, told TMZ, "I want to be Trump's running mate. Vice President Hogan?"

The response came after TMZ reporters asked Hogan which presidential candidate he'd like to face in the ring.

"I don't want to be in the ring with any candidates, I want to be Trump's running mate," he said.

With Hogan being scrubbed from WWE's websites over racially-charged comments and Trump being dropped from NBC over his derogatory comments about immigrants, it may be a match made in heaven. "Whatcha gonna do when Trumpmania destroys you?" isn't such a bad campaign slogan, and America would definitely be "run wild" on with the two at its helm.

Trump has yet to respond to Hogan's pitch.
