How Long Texans Wait Until They Say “I Love You”
We are in the midst of the month of love and for many in Texas, they are anticipating dropping the "L" bomb!
Being in a relationship can be thrilling when you know that you want to say those three little words; but how long does one wait until they say them?
Obviously, there are a lot of factors that play into it when it comes to dropping the first "I love you"; you got to make sure that you are really sure you feel it, and then comes the anxiety: will they say it back?!
So, how long do you wait until you say it?
In a new survey from Casino.org, they surveyed 3,000 Americans to uncover how long it takes to drop the L-word, when those butterflies kick in, awkward moments of unreturned “I love yous,” beliefs about love at first sight, and all the scoop on love languages. They then divided the data by state. Apparently, nationally, it takes about four months before anyone says the L-word first.
So where does Texas come in? Texas residents take the 3rd longest to say “I love you” out of all states, averaging a whopping 6 months, compared to the four month national average.
The survey also found that 52% of Texans still believe in love at first sight. When it comes to those "love languages", quality time ranks as the top love language for both giving and receiving love for Texans.
When asked if they’ve ever said “I love you” and not heard it back right away, 34% said they have always heard it back immediately, while 30% admitted they didn't immediately hear it back and, yes, and it was awkward. Fortunately, Texans know how to heal quickly as 30% said it was fine that they didn't hear it back.
And, shockingly, 6% revealed that they have never said ‘I love you’ first.
So, when do you decide to drop the L-bomb?
