Uninsured? Need a flu shot before the winter season? Find out where to go this month to get your FREE flu shot and more!

The flu season is almost upon us and now is the time to get yourself the flu shot to protect yourself before the runny noses, sniffles, fevers and more start going around your school or workplace.  The Department of Health and the El Paso Fire Department are teaming up once again to offer Borderland residents “Vaccinations for Health.” The departments will provide free influenza vaccines, blood pressure and glucose screenings to people 18 real of age and older, plus pneumonia vaccines to those 65 years of age and older.

To get your free flu shot this month, there will be four clinics happening on

Wednesday, Nov. 1: EPFD Safety, Health Outreach Center, 5415 Trowbridge Dr., 1 p.m. - 5:30 p.m.
 
Wednesday, Nov. 8: EPFD Safety, Health Outreach Center, 5415 Trowbridge Dr., 1 p.m. - 5:30 p.m.
 
Wednesday, Nov. 15: EPFD Safety, Health Outreach Center, 5415 Trowbridge Dr., 1 p.m. - 5:00 p.m.
 
No health clinic during Thanksgiving week
 
Wednesday, Nov. 29: EPFD Safety, Health Outreach Center, 5415 Trowbridge Dr., 1 p.m. - 5:30 p.m.
 
Remember that the service is FREE to residents of El Paso and Hudspeth County who are 18 and over and DO NOT have medical insurance or are on Medicaid. We are encouraging residents who meet these guidelines to take advantage of the program. The goal of the program is to increase the wellness of the community.
